Dynamics 365 has the capability to audit application itself. The audit feature helps keep the information log that tracks all data manipulations and user information. So, in other words, audit keeps track of data and user activity.
It helps administrator such as:
- who was accessing the system and when
- who updated specific field value in the record and when
- what was previous value before it was modified
- what action a specific end-user history can recently
- who deleted specific record, many more
